Asier studied Telecommunications Engineer from the University of Deusto, and was honored ProUD Alumni, as one of the 50 historically featured students based on their careers. He was born curious, has always looked at the stars and has been passionate about the world of physics and how it builds the world we experience, leading him to work in areas that use the most basic blocks of it (the qubits!) to perform operations in the laboratory of IBM Quantum (New York), where we designed, planed, and executed digital experiences to grow the developer community, key academic institutions and Q-Network clients globally. Directed IE Business School Technology Lab, he hired a team of creative technologists who designed and deployed the WOWroom, an immersive room to help IE grow its mission of being leader in digital education.
Asier co-founded the first spin-off of the University of Deusto, Onirux Labs. They managed innovation projects with top companies (Google, Kodak, etc.) and performed technical due-diligences with VC funds, for the 23M€ round of Jobandtalent, and Blink Booking, which was acquired by Groupon. He also won numerous tech-hackathons, like Techcrunch Disrupt SF, and has been speaker in global events, like TEDx Madrid Cibeles, MIT Enterprise Forum, Droidcon Dubai, Silicon Valley Chinese Tech Association, among others.
Featured on Business Insider as one of the top 25 Spanish Twitter accounts to follow in technology, he currently works at NVIDIA, the company that leads the development of hardware for artificial intelligence, where he encourages communities to learn more about this exciting area and how it helps us to understand the universe around us.
