Marcus Hutchins

He is known as the hacker who saved the internet, and also known in the digital world for his blog, MalwareTech, the British researcher Marcus Hutchins rose to fame when, in May 2017, at the age of 23, he became a world hero by managing to stop one of the most destructive computer viruses ever known throughout history.

He had managed to stop the spread of WannaCry, and suddenly everyone wanted to talk to him. Shortly after, the FBI arrested him on suspicion of authoring Kronos, a strain of malware designed to steal online banking credentials. His readers and admirers have raised funds for his defense.
